I am a 73 year old male with moderate hearing loss. 12 years ago I purchased my first pair of hearing aids for a little over $5000.00. They definitely helped at first but a year or so later they didn't. So, I continued to wear them since I paid out all that money until I realized they were useless to me. So, I saved up some money and along with my insurance company I bought a new pair, these cost me $1850.00 out of pocket, plus what the insurance company paid. They were supposed to be top notch. From the beginning I noticed I heard things I usually heard much louder and still missed the things I couldn't hear before. The company was great to adjust them but I never could say they were a great help to me, but I wore them for several years.
